Some general areas where Communication Studies graduates are often employed include human relations, personnel, training and development, corporate communication, sales, public relations, management, and event planning.The Associate in Arts in Communication Studies for Transfer (AA-T) is intended for students who plan to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies, or a similar major at a CSU campus.

Students completing the AA-T in Communication Studies are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not necessarily to a particular campus or major of choice.
