UNITED STATES HISTORY THROUGH RECONSTRUCTION
Introduces the creation and development of American society to 1877. Explores the colonial foundation of American cultural heritage; growth of the US political party system; women and social reform; the institution of and movement to abolish slavery; the Civil War, including its causes and Reconstruction. Satisfies US-1 (historical development of American institutions and ideals) requirement of CSU Title V. Applies to Associate degree. Transfer credit: CSU; UC.
