DANC M30A

THEORY AND PRACTICE OF SOCIAL DANCE FORMS: BALLROOM DANCE I

  • 1.5 units

Prerequisites: None Class Hours: 1 lecture, 2 lab Introduces beginning ballroom dance techniques through a focus on one or more ballroom dances. Includes history, music and fundamental practices of one or more of the following: cha-cha, salsa, waltz, fox trot, samba or tango. Moorpark College Faculty has defined Theory and Practice of Social Dance Forms: Ballroom Dance as a family of courses which includes DANC M30A and M30B. A student may take a maximum of two (2) courses from a family. Applies to Associate Degree. Transfer credit: CSU; UC
