Prerequisites: None Class Hours: 4 lecture Provides an overview of the architecture, structure, functions, components and models of the Internet and other computer networks. Covers topics such as IP (Internet Protocol) addressing, network technologies, media and topologies, protocols, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Layer, Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) Layer, security, management tools, and Local Area Network (LAN) versus Wide Area Network (WAN) environments.
