INTRODUCTION TO PROBATION, PAROLE AND CORRECTIONS
Prerequisites: None Recommended Prep: CJ M01 or CJ M01H Class Hours: 3 lecture C-ID: AJ 200 Introduces an overview of the historical aspects of punishment and the development of contemporary correctional philosophy in the United States. Focuses on legal and practical aspects, practices and procedures of probation, parole and the correctional institutions. Examines rehabilitation issues, legal issues, general laws, and operations of correctional institutions, and the relationship between corrections and other components of the criminal justice system.
