HONORS: INTRODUCTION TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Prerequisites: None Recommended Prep: ENGL M01A or ENGL M01AH Class Hours: 3 lecture C-ID: AJ 110 Introduces the history and philosophy of criminal justice in America, reviewing system recapitulation, sub-system identification, role expectations and interrelationships. Examines crime, punishment and rehabilitation theories, and ethics, education and training issues. Honors work challenges students to be more analytical and creative through expanded assignments, real-world applications and enrichment opportunities. Applies to Associate Degree. Transfer credit: CSU; UC. Course Credit Limitations: Credit will not be awarded for both the honors and regular versions of a course. Credit will be awarded only for the first course completed with a grade of “C” or better or “P”. Honors Program requires a letter grade.
