ENGL M01AH

Emphasizes expository writing and research, demonstrating principles of thesis and support, rhetorical organization, control of diction, clear sentence and paragraph construction, and command of the conventions of English usage. Develops analytical and interpretive reading skills. Honors work challenges students to be more analytical and creative through expanded assignments, real-world applications and enrichment opportunities. Course Credit Limitation: Students cannot complete both ENGL M01A and ENGL M01AH. Credit will be awarded only for the first course completed with a grade of “C” or better or "P". MC Honors Program requires a letter grade. Prerequisites: ENGL M02 or placement as determined by the college's multiple measures assessment process. Field trips may be required.
