ART M79A - FIGURE SCULPTURE I 3 UNITS Prerequisites: None Class Hours: 1 lecture, 6 lab Introduces the basic principles, materials and techniques of sculpting the human figure from live models; materials may include clay, wire, and mixed media. Emphasizes structure, proportion, balance, and self-expression in three-dimensional form. Develops awareness of historical and contemporary concerns in figure sculpture. Moorpark College Faculty has defined Sculpture as a family of courses which includes ART M77, M78, M79A and M79B. A student may take a maximum of four (4) courses from a family. (Formerly ART M79.)
