ETHICS IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Prerequisites: None Class Hours: 3 lecture Examines ethical issues in the three components of the criminal justice system: law enforcement, judicial courts, and corrections. Explores the various ethical dilemmas, value definitions, and their application to decision-making by police, court, probation, parole, and corrections. Reviews the key elements of ethical guidelines, individual aspects of ethical codes, courtroom testimony and admissibility issues. Includes ethical standards for all written reports, procedural and substantive law issues. Applies to Associate Degree. Transfer credit: CSU; UC.
