Prerequisites: None Recommended Prep: ENGL M01A Class Hours: 3 lecture Introduces, through a sweeping overview of tribal, ethnic, and folk-dance forms, the wide-ranging activity of dance as it has existed throughout the world. Focuses on ballet from its origin in Renaissance Europe to the present as well as twentieth century modern and jazz dance, including the contemporary scene which is international and eclectic.
