Choose a course from Area 6. To fulfill the requirement of proficiency in a language other than English, students must complete two years of high school instruction in the same language. If you did not meet this requirement in high school, you can fulfill IGETC Area 6A by completing the equivalent coursework at a community college or by demonstrating proficiency.
